Bonorong is very lucky to have a body of long-term, experienced staff which means that positions do not become available very often. However, there are other options for those wishing to become part of the Bonorong team, even if only for a short while. 

15 Week Internship

Bonorong has entered into a Third-Party Arrangement with TasTAFE (RTO60142) for Certificate II in Animal Studies. Learning and assessments will be completed in a 15 week internship on site at Bonorong, with the Certificate issued by TasTAFE on completion.

ACM20117 - Certificate II in Animal Studies

This qualification is nationally recognised and meets national animal industry standards. 

Classroom-based learning

volunteering

Long term single volunteers and one-off (or returning!) groups of volunteers are more than welcome at the Sanctuary. 

There are plenty of jobs to go around, but please be aware that there is no animal interaction.

Wildlife Hospital opportunities

Our wildlife hospital opened in early 2018, however we are still a few years away from being able to accept students, volunteers or trainees.
